Ocean Edge Testimonial - Mr & Mrs Jennings

The Jennings family from Nelson, near Blackburn purchased a holiday home after deciding they wanted a place the family could spend time at weekends that was not too far from home.

The family also found the park's proximity to Morecambe Bay and the Lake District a great reason to purchase.  "Since we bought the caravan in June 2009, our kids have really got into mountain biking and the location is great for that.  We've been all over, from cycling in the park or along Morecambe Bay promenade to taking the bikes up to Grizedale Forest in the Lakes.  It's just great to see all three kids enjoying themselves so much." Continues Tania.

Tania's three children are aged between 10 and 14 years so finding something that suited the whole family was very important when choosing a park.  "When we are at home the kids tend to just stay in and sit in front of the computer." highlights Tania "What I really like to see is them enjoying themselves and having fun in the great outdoors and by visiting our caravan every weekend they do just that". 

It's very clear that getting her kids to enjoy the outdoors is a priority for Tania, so does the British weather not hamper that?  "Not really" says Tania "On the day we went to view the park initially it was blowing a gale and pouring with rain but we still signed up to buy on the spot.  Even on a bad day there is still so much to see and do that we could not be deterred."

It seems that even the family dog also enjoys his trips to Ocean Edge! "Each Friday as we pack up the car to head up to Ocean Edge the dog is jumping around and cannot wait to get into the car.  Owning this caravan has literally given a new lease of life to the entire family." Beams a delighted Tania.

The family's love of the park in the short time they have owned has even spread amongst friends and family.  Shortly after they purchased, Tania and her husband Adrian had been talking to a neighbour about how wonderful the park was and how much fun they all had.  The neighbour has since also purchased a caravan right behind the Jennings!  "Our neighbours could see how much we loved the caravan and how much enjoyment the kids got from it that they wanted one too!"  Tania tells me "My mum has also bought one so she can visit as often as possible.  It's ideal for her as she lives abroad so it provides her with a base in the UK."

Ownership has also provided Tania and the family with a host of new friends, "The staff and other owners on the park are just so friendly, they really made us feel welcome from day one.  It's even reached a point that I would say we know our park neighbours better that we do those at home!"
